Vintage denim jackets and vests are in perfect and clean condition before they are embroidered, divine casual only uses "upcycle-worthy" garments.

 

easy care for embroidery on denim

The garment should be washed by hand in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent or can be dry cleaned. Hang or lay flat to dry, do not use tumbler/ dryer. Embroideries do not require ironing but can be. A large embroidery as on the jacket/vest backs will benefit from an ironing once in a while. The embroidery can be ironed best when garment is dry by putting a damp cotton cloth on top of it.  Place the iron (set for medium heat/polyester) on cloth and move it from the middle of embroidery outwards. A couple of seconds at a time is sufficient.

  The threads are top quality polyester embroidery threads and are strong, heat resistant and will keep their intense color, they do not fade. The embroidered garments will last for years with proper care and the designs will keep their original color and shine.
